The Sanctuary Hotel and Resort is a very high end center that is located in the desert of Scottsdale. Looking at the resort in the environment where it sits reminds me of an oasis. It has been recognized as one of the top resorts in the world by Conde Nast Traveler. This resort is comprised of about 53 acres, and it compliments the appearance of the land which surrounds it. The resort comes with 98 rooms and 24 spas. It also has over 12 treatment rooms, a garden for meditation, and a Watsu pool. The Sanctuary resort features many amenities that simply can't be found with its competitors in the Scottsdale area. For those who enjoy physical activities biking, hiking, and tennis are available.
In the areas near the resort, you can also enjoy horseback riding, shopping, golf, museums, and the zoo. One of the things which impressed me the most about this hotel is the 24 hour room service they offer. They work hard to make sure all your needs are being filled. The Sanctuary Resort starts at $175 per night during off seasons, but can go as high as $795 per night during peak seasons, especially if you get the most expensive room. Each room in the Sanctuary resort comes with an alarm clock, air conditioning, cable television, coffee maker, climate control, dual sinks, fireplace(suites only), Internet access, refridgerator, microwave, and kitchens.
The rooms also come with DVD/VCR players, and a sitting area. This resort is the very definition of luxury, and it is easy to see why it commands such high prices. While all the rooms have high speed Internet access, only select rooms give you access to wireless Internet access. Some of the leisure features it offers includes ice skating, croquet, outdoor swimming pools, jogging, ballooning, desert tours, and tennis. A full spa is also offered, as well as hiking. It would also like to talk about the dining, which is a very important part of virtually any hotel. While the Sanctuary Hotel and resort doesn't have a large number of restuarants, the one it does have, the Elements Restaurant, is extremely impressive. It has a stunning view of the valleys which comprise the desert scenery, and the menu is unique, but very delicious.
This restaurant serves fresh American food with a touch of Asian flair. For those who enjoy alcoholic beverages, they will want to visit the Jade Bar. It has an impressive lounge areas with both and outdoor patio. They have upscale champagnes and cocktails. A list of great tasting wine is available to patrons. When you consider the amenities, leisure activities, and quality of dining and rooms which are available at the Sanctuary resort, it becomes easy to see why it has been named one of the top resorts in the world. It offers a level of service which is extraordinary, and I for one greatly enjoyed my stay. I will also say that calling it five star is an understatement.
