The Phoenician has to be one of the most upscale hotel/resorts in the Scottsdale area. Located in the Camelback mountain region of Scottsdale, it is the perfect definition of an oasis. I really enjoyed the color layout of the resort. It has rich colors which are very bright, and they compliment the surrounding desert environment quite well. When you combine this with the impressive number of amenities they offer, it is easy to see why the Phoenician is one of the most luxurious and expensive resorts in the city. It is designed for travelers with the most discriminating tastes.
Like virtually all the hotels/resorts in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area, the Phoenician offers golf at its resort. The Phoenician golf course has 27 holes, and the course if very well cared for. They also have nine beautiful pools, and they are perfect for visitors who want to sit back and relax. Another thing that I like about the Phoenician is that they offer amenities which are specifically designed for children. While many upscale hotels pay attention to many luxury amenities, they forget about the children. The Phoenicians has a special child center called the Funician Kids Club, and your children will have non-stop entertainment here.
The Phoenician has well over 100 luxury casitas, and they also offer doorstep parking. The resort has a grand total of 468 rooms for guest, and they have two presidential suites. Many of these rooms feature Italian marble. Even the floors in these rooms are covered by Berber carpets. The Phoenician would not be complete without a sizeable number of recreational activities, and it is very proficient in this area. In addition to the 27 hole golf course that I've already mentioned, it also has the Centre for Well Being, which allows you to exercise, get body treatments, and meditate.
If you decide to leave the resort, you may be interested to know that tours are offered which allow you to see authentic ghost towns. When it comes to eating, the Phoenician offers world class dining. You can enjoy a sumptuous dinner with an impressive scenery to match. One of the restaurants which were my favorite include the Mary Elaine's restaurant. Special dinining options can be made for visitors who are having business meetings, parties, or weddings. The chefs and event planners can work with you to make sure the event is perfect.
The Phoenician is a very expensive hotel, and packages generally start at $395 per night. They offer four day vacation packages, and if you pick this package, the fourth night is offered to you complimentary. However, if you prefer the Phoenician luxury spa package, the fee will start at $499 per night. The Bed and Breakfast package starts at $445 per night. I found the Phoenician to be extremely professional. They work hard to please their customers and give them exactly what they want. The food was delicious, the scenery was impressive, and the resort is ideal for those who want the absolute best for their money.
